Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana, Cuba. Her family moved to Miami after she reached two years old. Born in Havana Cuba Ana moved to Miami when she was 2 years old and was accompanied with her parents. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is host of the well-known Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish language program nominated for the Daytime Emmy(r) Award. It was also in 2015 ranked as the top Spanish-language show in the 4pm hour across all the key demos. Polo is a native of Cuba who was born on April 11, 1959. She went to Florida International University and graduated with a degree in political science. After obtaining her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years.
