Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American writer, syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist, television personality and owner of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Following her move to England from Greece at 16 She earned an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it at the age of 21. She was a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online platform for voice that offered criticisms on politics. Her fame helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna was first noticed in 2003 as she stood for California's recall election, in the place of Governor Davis. Alongside this, she directed the Detroit project that promoted fuel efficient cars. She was named one of the Most Popular Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th spot on that list. That same year Guardian included her in the Top 100 Media List. AOL Inc. made her the President of their media division in 2011 after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by other AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. Although she was a close friend to her father, it was her bond with her mother that formed her life. Even as a young girl, she showed leadership traits that she still is known for. Her move to England came at 16, to pursue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debating club. As the third woman president and first foreigner, she was the president for the Cambridge Union. In 1972, she earned an MA in Economics. After her graduation, she worked as a journalist and TV host. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editorial assistance.
